POLICE have raided the home of a Comancheros chief as it emerged the rival Hells Angels may have put a $100,000 bounty on his head.

Just after 4.30pm, state crime command detectives swooped on the plush two-storey home of Mahmoud "Mick" Hawi in Bexley in Sydney's inner southwest.

Mr Hawi was not home. Neighbours said they had not seen anybody at the house since the deadly Comancheros-Hells Angels brawl at Sydney Airport almost two weeks ago, in which he was allegedly involved.

Both bikie and law enforcement sources yesterday said they had heard of the alleged bounty and said that Mr Hawi's life was at risk.

"He'll be holed up in a hotel somewhere," one said.

Another source said the bounty had been issued by the "cashed-up" Hells Angels, whose sergeant-at-arms, Peter Zervas, 32, is in hospital after being shot outside his Sydney home on Sunday night. No charges have been laid over the shooting.
