A bloody ballroom blitz, roadside violence and a fatal airport bashing have forced a Queensland outlaw motorcycle gang from the shadows in a desperate bid to curb bad press and prevent the passing of anti-bikie laws.

For the first time in four decades, the president of the Brisbane Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Club, John Parker, has allowed cameras inside the gang's fiercely-protected Albion clubhouse in a reluctant public relations push to show not all bikies are the dangerous hard men police and politicians claim.
